And now this month's show.
Hello and welcome to the Epona Muse Publishing
News for October 2026.
So as you can see, we have a
new background on the Zoom video, and that
is our logo.
So welcome!
We are glad to have you on our
official Epona Muse Publishing News show.
I want to remind everybody right off the
top that our Cozy Fantasy Anthology, Gouda &
Cozy, will have its submissions closing on October
31st.
You still have plenty of time to submit.
We are still actively looking for stories.
We would prefer these stories be, of course,
100% human written, approximately 2,000 to
10,000 words, and a cozy fantasy story
featuring cheese.
What you do with that, I would love
to read, so please don't self-reject or
self-censor your stories.
Please send your stories, and all guidelines as
well as our submission form is on our
website at eponamuse.com or publishing.eponaauthorsolutions.com.
We are a royalty paying publisher.
There are never any fees to publish in
one of our anthologies.
We are also reading for novellas, and please
check the word count on our submissions page.
I've had a few questions about that.
We're looking for 10,000 to 15,000
words, all the way up to about 30
,000 words.
I know that's a little bit shorter than
where some places cite novella length, so we're
looking for novellas, speculative fiction, and we would
love to read your stories featuring queer or
disabled or neurodivergent characters.
If you want to submit normative speculative fiction,
you're welcome to do that as well.
We do not discriminate here at Epona Muse
Publishing, but we definitely want to be a
place where you can publish your novella length
speculative fiction work, especially if it has queer,
disability, or chronic illness themes.
We have a nonfiction anthology for the neurodivergent
connection with animals.
That deadline is November 30th, and then we
have a charity anthology featuring wild magic, or
I'm sorry, wild weather or magical weather stories.
That again, we're looking for more fantasy here
rather than science fiction, but send us what
you got.
If it's wild, if it's weather, if it's
got some speculative fiction element, we want to
read that, and that deadline is December 31st.
We also have a newsletter on our website.
I encourage you to sign up for the
newsletter.
We will be issuing our first edition here
before the end of the year, probably listing
those 2027 submission calls.
Our goal is to have something happening every
month, so I want to encourage you to
pay attention to our Epona Muse Publishing news,
as well as please pay attention to our
newsletter, because we are constantly looking for stories,
constantly looking to put out great books of
fiction.
As a gentle reminder, our fantasy anthology, Horses
are Magic, has been published and available wherever
you can pick up your books, and it's
also available in libraries.
I certainly encourage you to pick up a
copy.
I also encourage you to pick up a
copy of our non-fiction anthology, Neurodivergent Grief,
volume one.
We are hoping to put out a volume
two at some point in the future, so
if you have an essay you'd like to
send for that, please do reach out.
Thank you so much.
We hope to see you for next month,
and please stay tuned at publishing.eponaauthorsolutions.com.
Thank you.
